For her first five years in office, she has identified three main priorities: achieving food self-sufficiency through a large-scale rice production project aimed at reducing imports, promoting local economic development to strengthen the value of the dalasi, and accelerating the digitalization of government services to improve public administration.
The leader, Madam Marie Sock advocates for a more united Gambia, free from tribalism and political favoritism. She also proposes a constitutional limit of two five-year presidential terms, for a maximum of ten years in office, to strengthen accountability.
Fighting corruption is another cornerstone of her agenda. She has pledged to appoint ministers and senior officials based on competence rather than political patronage, insisting that public office should be reserved for the most qualified individuals regardless of party affiliation.
On employment, the presidential hopeful links youth unemployment to irregular migration, commonly known as the « Backway. » She plans to invest heavily in modern agriculture and large-scale job creation to provide opportunities for young Gambians and reduce the incentive to migrate.
Madam Marie Sock has also raised concerns about security in the tourism sector, particularly regarding the screening of visitors and the protection of children from sexual exploitation.
While her full 2026 election manifesto has yet to be officially released, these proposals outline the core vision of her campaign, which seeks to transform The Gambia through economic reform, social inclusion, and accountable governance.
