Mrs. Marie Sock Jabbie , leader of the Social Democrats Alliance (ASD) and an independent candidate in Gambia’s presidential election scheduled for December 2026, will soon undertake a tour that will include a stay in Senegal.
During her stay in Dakar, Mrs. Marie Sock Jabbie will be welcomed by members of the Social Democrats Alliance (ASD) in Senegal, under the coordination of Mr. Amadou Kassé, Coordinator of the Social Democratic Alliance in Dakar.
The meeting with ASD representatives and members in Dakar is part of preparations for the Gambian presidential election scheduled for December 2026. It will provide an opportunity for the independent candidate to engage with members of her movement in Senegal and strengthen coordination and mobilization ahead of the upcoming electoral contest.
The Dakar visit comes as Gambia’s political actors gradually prepare for a presidential election that is expected to be an important moment in the country’s political life.
Through this meeting, the ASD also seeks to strengthen coordination between its structures in Gambia and those operating in Senegal, while maintaining dialogue and mobilization among its members ahead of the December 2026 election.
